Happy Birthday Baby Girl!!

{HaPpY BiRtHdAy bAiLeY!!!!}

I can't believe I am the mother of a 2 year old. It ALMOST makes me cry,.. but I can honestly say that I have so much enjoyed her everyday!! Some days were harder to enjoy than others but I wake up EVERY morning EXCITED to see her smiling face and now to hear her greet me when I open her bedroom door with "goo-marnin a mamma". Oh I just melt when I hear those words.
Some of my favorite things she has been saying lately are "stanks a mamma" (that means thanks) and she likes to sit on my lap and point out my "boops"(boobs) She thinks that's REALLY funny!! (and it is!) Bailey loves to walk around the house during the day and sing "mamma,.. Aowie"(where are you?) and then if she can't find me she says "at work" We usually do this for an hour in the morning looking for daddy too, but he really IS at work!
I think I announced this,.. but Bailey has FINALLY started calling me mamma,.. and usually there is an A in front of it so I am "a mamma". It's okay,.. I'll take it, and love it, and enjoy it! It took long enough. (She did decide to call me Dadda for about 2 hours this morning though)
Well we celebrated with Bailey's party last weekend at SpringHaven. It was GREAT!! It was a nemo bash!! We wanted to have some fun water games outside but it was pouring rain, so we made it short sweet and to the point, inside. We had a nemo pinata and we hid it so the kids had to "Find Nemo" before we could bash it in. I was a little afraid it would be traumatic for Bailey to beat "mamo" with a bat, but she LOVED it!! I don't know if that is a good thing or not,..?
The KIDS table,. we put Dave there on purpose.
I don't know HOW they found it so fast. I thought it looked cool in the "seaweed"
Bailey found 'A' sucker and was set for the rest of the day!
I realize that most mom's would have a heart attack if they saw their baby thrown this high,.. but this is pretty tame for a baby tossing session from Uncle Dave.
Ooh,.. "a-monos"(animals)
As you can see, the animals were a big hit, and Bailey didn't really care to open any other presents. Thanks for the Animals Penture!!!
Bailey's GHETTO Birthday cake. I had all intentions of making a full on Nemo cake, but it came down to it,.. and I opted to NOT stand on my feet making a cake for HOURS the night before!
And we had, HAD it by this point in the party,.. so Bailey blew out her candle and took a nice LONG nap!!
As a Robbins Family tradition, the birthday person gets breakfast in bed, and this is a tradition that I LOVE!! So we are doing it in our family too. Bailey got a yummy Mickey "cancake" and some fruit and juice in bed. Probably not the BEST idea for 2, but it was fun and worked out great!! She was more excited about the presents than the food, which is to be expected.

So,...

My Beautiful Baby Girl,

I remember two years ago being so anxious for you to be here, so I could hold you and kiss you! Daddy and I would lie in bed at night and dream, and talk for hours about all the fun things we wanted to do with you, teach you, and places we wanted to take you, and all the people we wanted you to meet. When we finally had you in our arms we were so incredibly happy we cried, and we laughed about the fact that we were crying. You have been SUCH an angel even through all of Mommy and Daddy's parental learning experiences. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect baby girl. Thank you for all the laughs and all the joy. We never knew we could love so much more, and so much deeper. You are going to be SUCH a good big sister, and even though you SAY you don't want to be a big sister, I know better!!! ;) I love you baby girl. Happy Birthday!

Love Mommy and Daddy

Poser

Last night Bailey was in a rare and unusually cute mood. I took a picture of her, and she KEPT asking me to take "more cheese mommy" so then I started asking her strike a pose. I will just let you enjoy. Some I posed and asked her to copy what I did,.. but most were just her idea.

I told her to pose,.. and this is what she gave me,.. work it girl!

This is Bailey's "special" pose.

"I cute Mommy!"

This is how Bailey wants me to sit when I get the chance to actually do so. I made the mistake of asking her one day if she wanted to feel Chloe kick, and now she just wants to kick Chloe, along with the kisses of course.

I know,.. my belly button isn't popped,.. it doesn't pop. It was a sad realization when I had Bailey and it never did. :(

I have been avoiding this picture for a long time, and I finally caved when I felt decent looking last night. (Peter and I got to go on a date!) So, I will state the obvious,

I'm huge.

I know.

Little Preggers update:

I had my appointment on this last Tuesday,

3cm dilated

80% Effaced

Dr. Haskett was so kind and stripped my membranes. It hurt like a mother though.

If she isn't here by the 2nd, they will induce me.

The Dr. does not believe I will make it to then.

As long as she doesn't arrive ON Bailey's birthday. (June 30th)

I spent 2 hours up last night with fairly hard contractions every 2 minutes, but when I called the hospital the nurse said,.. take some Tylenol and a bath, and come in if A, B, or C happen. I fell asleep praying those things would happen and woke up to no baby! :(

I just want to have her already.

I know I am still 3 weeks until my due date, but I don't care. The more time I have between Chloe's arrival and Peter leaving for Alaska, the happier I will be!

Yes my feet are still RIDICULOUSLY swollen.

OH,.. BY THE WAY,.. Someone calls me MOMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's a new development, but a GLORIOUS one!!!

What We've missed

I have been wanting to post a bunch of things, and had them all ready written, and then Peter broke his leg, and I have gone into Turbo mom mode in trying to get ready for Chloe's arrival, and as busy as I have been,.. I look around and think to my self,.. freak gina!!!! YOU have accomplished NOTHING! So I will blog a few things here,.. mostly just pictures with some fun stories of what we have been up to besides recovering from a broken leg, and bloggin 100 times!!!

Aunt Debbie came for a visit. I was SUPPOSED to pick her up from the airport, but she came in the night of Peter's accident, so we had a change of plans. It was still so fun to have her here and catch up like the bestest of sister do!

We went to UP,.. LOVED IT!!! Funny little story.
We got there, and I was SUPER stressed about going. Bailey had never been to a movie theater before and I was afraid that she would lose interest and with Peter not very mobile, I would be the one to chase her up and down the isle with my 8 month preggo-ness and that's not really my idea of a great night out. So after a few hours of Peter convincing me it was a good idea, we got in the car and headed out. We sit down in the theater and were watching the previews, Bailey was really excited to be there, and was sitting so quietly in my lap and,....
ALL THE SUDDEN,..
My squatch & legs are wet. I GASPED and looked at Peter with the deer in the headlights look, he snatched Bailey out of my hands and we were just about to get up and head to the hospital because I was SURE my water had broken.
Until I looked at Bailey's bum.
It's okay, her diaper leaked.
My child saves all her pee for one large urination during the day, and it's like releasing the Hoover Dam!
but that's okay sweetie girl, mamma pees her pants more times during the day than you.
And then I did the ugly cry through the ENTIRE movie.
SUCH a cute movie! I recommend it to anyone and everyone!

Memorial Day came and went and we spent the evening at Punka(that's grandma and grandpa) Robbins' house.
Punka set up a pool and Bailey just wanted to play in the water,... even after she was blue and was suffering from hypothermia. Crazy baby!

Daddy bought Bailey a new pair of shoes. I wasn't sure about them at first, but they have really grown on me.

OOH OOH,.. Bailey's first Hair cut. Whitney works magic on my hair every 3 months(yeah,.. I wait until my roots are longer than the actual colored part to go in)
She is so big now!
BeforeYou know,.. she was BORN with the ends of these hairs!?
During,.. We used her portable DVD player to keep her entertained,.. MAGIC!!
AFTER!!!
Another After picture
WE LOVE YOU WHITNEY!! Thanks for helping us look beautiful!!

Peter is healing!! See,..
I took this picture 2 weeks ago when Peter got his cast off. I thought it was CRAZY how much muscle and size he had lost in just 2 weeks!!!
I took this picture today. The sterry strips are finally coming off and we can see where the incision was. YUMMY!!!! He has started Physical Therapy once a week now to help regain movement and strength.

I FINALLY got rid of these!!
Umm,.. I know I had said this a lot, but I LOVE the Robbins Family. I had 2 cousins growing up, and can probably count on 2 hands the times I have seen them. So being part of Peter's family, (I can't count all the cousins with my fingers, toes, AND Peter's and Bailey's fingers and toes!)
So ANYWAY,.. when Peter and I got married, I received these LOVELIES. They are the traveling teddies and MAN,.. aren't they AWESOME!?
Well Peter's cousin is getting married this week and I FINALLY,.. after 3 whole years,.. got to pass them on!! Thanks Taylor for getting married!!

We realize MOST people grow up and leave the college town of which they attended,.. :( Boo for us, and I guess it's an okay thing for them, but Mo and Christian and Jimmy and Julie,.. come back,.. okay!!?!?!?!?!?

Little pregnancy update:
I am dilated to 2 cm and my cervix is thinning.
This means I am making progress!!

My braxton hicks are coming more and more often which helps this dilating process.
If Chloe isn't here by July 3rd, I am scheduled to be induced that day,.. unless I decide not to be induced and just wait to go on my own. I don't think that the 3rd will come and I won't take the doc up on that offer. I don't think my feet and ankles can handle much more water retention. Check these babies out!!

And I thought they were bad last time I posted!!! They are LOTS worse now!!!

And the Winner Is,.....

Amy Carlson!

Congrats!!! You will be receiving (via mail unless I am totally on my game tomorrow and I bring it to the shower) a gift certificate to,..........

Amy's story about us:

I don't know if it was the first time or just one of the first times we met. You and Peter arrived at Bear Lake and you were White (because I am sure you were mad, frustrated, embarrassed, worried, . . .) -You were so upset that it got left off that you two would be getting married in the temple on your wedding announcements.

So I will add a little more detail to this story,..

When Peter and I got engaged and married, it was,.. well a whirlwind. I had a little over a month to plan and execute a wedding while working full time and honestly,.. I really didn't care about my wedding,.. I just wanted to get married already. So,.... EVERY YEAR Grandma Robbins throws a birthday bash at Bear Lake over the weekend closest to 4th of July. (We are SUPER bumed we are going to miss it this year!)

Peter's parents had JUST gotten into town from Argentina(where they were living at the time) and I had met his parents ONCE. Had talked to them on the phone ONCE. SO,.. needless to say I was trying to be on my best behavior and impress them. Well the wedding invitations came, we dropped off Peter's sides invites at his parents to address and send, and headed off to Bear Lake. Well we get about half way there and Peter gets a phone call from his Dad............ in all the wedding planning I had overlooked one tiny detail(not so tiny) but the fact that we were being sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake temple was NOT on the invitation and we were 16 days from our wedding day(no time to order new invitations or so I thought!).

One of the people on our list to recieve the invitation,..... President Gordon B. Hinkley. BAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! I BAWLED for a week every time I thought about it. The invites also had the wrong DATE and TIME for those invited to the temple. I WAS SO RETARDED!!!! I am SURE I was white in the face Amy,.. I wanted to crawl in a hole and die mostly. GAH!! I can't believe myself! I am glad Jan and Lynn have somewhat come to expect these things from me!! :D

Thanks for the memory Amy!

Also,.. for those that read about the contest and didn't ENTER,.. you are lame!

Especially you Melanie Leone Miller Carr,.. shame on you! It doesn't matter you were on your honeymoon! :P

100th WHAT?

I realize in all the glorious 100 posts in the last year and a half, MOST have been complaining, and ranting, and posts all about Bailey. I'm okay with that for the most part.

Goal: To Be more positive. I really CANNOT complain. I have absolutely NOTHING to complain about, even with Peter's broken leg, and being 8 months preggers. Don't hold me to it though, I find that blogging when I'm mad, or bugged, or insulted makes me feel better, and I can get over it quicker, other than Ugly Lady at Macey's. I still can't even go back inside that store, and I drive by it daily.

In reminiscing all the blogging heaven of the last 99 posts, and to Celebrate this blessed occasion of post 100.

{A CONTEST!!!}

Leave me a message with these things listed.

{Name}
{Favorite Memory of you and I}
{Something RANDOM about yourself}

This contest will end ONE WEEK from today

Making that Friday, June 12th. I will post the winner that night.

The prize is going to be AWESOME,...Trust me!

Honestly: I am making you leave a memory because I can't remember anything, and I have a tendency to be obnoxious, and I know you all have a story of how I embarrassed myself badly at some point, I'm sure I embarrassed you too!

So be like NIKE and just do it!

I needed today

Ahhh,.. in the midst of chaos, I knew a "normal day" was in the works somewhere. I don't think the Lord knew how badly I needed that to be TODAY.
Yesterday was the peak of the emotional toll life has had on me the last 2 weeks. After a full hour of fighting Bailey in the foyer and being determined to not let her "win", I left church BAWLING and had to say good-bye to my mom(who has been a life saver!). I came home and freaked out about life, and how I can't/am not handling it. It sucked to step back and realize that my 2 year old was running the show around here. She is winning. CRAP!
Well after a good bawling session, and a LONG afternoon's nap, I came to the conclusion that I just needed a break down. Being 8 1/2 months pregnant, and having Peter break his leg, understanding that Bailey is hard to handle a lot of the time, is going to catch up with me. I think I am at the point where I realized that feeling sorry for myself isn't going to help me through any of this. But informing Peter he gets FULL ON diaper duty as soon as his casts are off(which will be when there are 2 poopie diapers to change)well,.. that helped! ;) So I finally cried. Ahhhh,.. it felt good. Crying does a lot. But a "normal day" did a lot more!
*I woke up, and actually had energy!!
*Caught Bailey with the phone having a make believe conversation that went like this "not understandable words,.. Hello? Lella?? Oh hi,.. I talk,.. Bye bye Lella" (Lella=beloved cousin Ella)
*Bailey and I went to Costco and ate yummy HUGE strawberries as we shopped, and she only screamed like a crazy woman once.

*Funny conversations with Bailey in the car. I heard this coming from the back seat today,.. "Penture(one of the many beloved cousins),.. Where are you? At Work!" What a funny girl!
*We came home to our front yard being worked on. We are SOOO excited to step out or front door and have a yard to play in instead of more rocks than dirt to play with.
*We had lunch,.. more strawberries. Maybe some extra chocolate for Mommy,.. What,..? the baby wanted it.
*Bailey brought me my nail polish and looked at me and said,.. "match mommy!" How can you resist that???? So we gave Bailey a manicure and pedicure. Yes,.. note the Spiderman lunch box, but also note the dainty way in which she holds said lunch box.
*I can't reach my feet, and when I try, All I get is an opportunity to change my pants. :D SUPER HAPPY!!! n't Bladder Sling surgery to come I do believe. Might as well seeing as how our out of pocket maximum + deductible is SURE to be met this year! Plus I don't like feet(except Bailey's for a little while longer anyway) and mine have developed sudden on set of Elephantitus. Well,. Really they have turned into memory foam. See..Can you see the thumb print where my ankle bone SHOULD be showing?? I had been resting my foot on a laundry basket, and this line is still there 20 minutes later,.. that's memory foam!
Who has a roll right there??? Oh,.. I do!

*I put Bailey, AND myself down for a much needed nap.

*Woke up to the voice of my sweet husband on his way home from work(first day back post accident)
*Made my most craved dinner,.. Taco Salad.

Now I am paying the price with heart burn,.. totally worth it!

*Watched Bailey and her Daddy read books together.

*and BLOGGING!! While I REALLY enjoy one of these out my window!
More chocolate and Strawberries to come, I'm almost certain.
There CAN be some normalcy amongst so much chaos!! Good to know!
Let's have another one of these days tomorrow!?
p.s. It's JUNE???????
