World Cup Victory!

I can't even begin to express the excitement buzzing around our house during the world cup.  With Spain in the running for the Cup, we planned a party with all the Spanish Exchange Students.  They were SOOO excited when they won,.. I was afraid they were going to demolish my house, and then trample my children and I.  

Alas, we survived,..

And Spain WON!!! ,.. and then they all ran down the street waiving their flag in victorious Spanish chants.  They were super funny and cute.

Birthday Bonanza

With Bailey and Chloe's Birthday only 4 days apart, I broke my vow, the very first year.  Vow being,.. "I will NEVER combine their Birthdays.

i suck.

So I went all out,.. well,.. not really.  I didn't order jones sodas with their pictures on it, or have a caterer, or a face painter, or special order party invitations that are nicer than the ones I had made for my wedding(which were horrible).  I didn't make costumes for all the invited guests, or anything CRAZY.

But I DID order a BOUNCE HOUSE SLIP N' SLIDE!!!!!!

Totally worth every penny!!!  We had such a blast!  I might make it a summer tradition!!!!

We had a feast of world class cuisine hot dogs and hamburgers, and really gross Wal*Mart cake.

And then Chloe's home made cake that she seriously LOVED.   Pictures:

Girls Camp/JLo Ain't Got nuttin on me

Girls Camp Rocked my socks.  I have a tesitmony of girls camp, and have really missed it every summer since they kicked me out of Young Womens.  Jerks. Pictures:

So,.. I really want to lose weight,.. and so I am having this picture printed and framed and nailed to the fridge.  And now that the rest of the world has seen it,.. I have more incentive.

For real.  I'm totally ashamed.  But look how daring and adventurous I am!,.. I am totally trying to deflect,.. but let's be honest,.. how can you deflect off something THAT large.  JLo Ain't got Nuttin on me!  I think I will go for a run right now.  

July in Review

WOWZERZ.

Isn't summer the BEST!?!?  There is no time to blog because you are too busy having a BLAST!?!?  There is no time to empty your pictures off your camera, so you just buy new memory sticks.  There is no time to watch T.V.(unless is has to do with a Bachelor and Bachelorette).  There is no time dilly dally on laundry, because you gotta hurry up and pack for the next adventure.  I haven't seen the inside of a grocery store in a LONG time(and my fridge proves it). (note to self{and you guys} more trips to the grocery store usually means less flabby all over my body).  No time for sunscreen, your feet are burning standing around.(ouch)  

Have we been busy?  Yes, yes we have.  Has it been GREAT.  Yes,.. yes indeed-ie.  Has my mom been life saver of AMERICA?  Definitely.  Do I deserve such an awesome mom, no,.. but MAN am I grateful for her.  Love you Mamma Cakes!{really,.. she is the one who has made me stay up to date with the laundry}

-We had another kid(well someone else had her, and raised her for 15 and a half years, and then sent her to us from Spain,....... for a month,.......and then we have to send her back.

BRYCE CANYON

We had the chance to go to beautiful Bryce Canyon with Peter's family a week weekends ago.  We had a lot of fun, made a lot of memories, and broke a few records,.. well,.. one at least,.. that being that it SNOWED while we were there,..... we went on June 11th.  CRAZY!!!!

Happy Birthday Chloe!

My Dearest, Darlingest Little Baby Girl!

You amaze me.  I truly love you so much!  You are the happiest baby on earth, which is fitting.  Your AMAZING eyes suck me in, and I can't help but smother you with hugs and kisses every time I look at you.  Your little smile with GIANT teeth makes my heart melt.  The rolls on your legs make me giggle like a wee little school girl.  Your speedy crawl and lack of desire to walk, insures to me that your Heavenly Father sent you to the right place(because I want you stay in this stage for just a little longer). I love that you have no fear of the water and you are a little fish out of water.(even though it scares me) I am blessed to be your mother.  One year ago today I sat holding you in my arms, scared to death you would be the last baby I would bare.  I held you on my chest for 12 straight hours, in tears.  I am so glad that you are mine, and I get to be your mommy.  Thank you for being so amazing, and for drawing me closer to the spirit and my Heavenly Father, and for loving me in return.  You are a daughter of God, He MADE you, He continues to bless you, He has allowed us to be together forever.  I love you.

Motherly Guilt

Dear Bailey,

I hope that you can forgive me for missing your 3rd birthday.  I'm sorry I won't be here to sing you Happy Birthday in bed while giving you your breakfast, and watching you open a present.  I'm sorry I won't get to kiss you to sleep the last night you are 2.  I'm sorry I won't get to grab you at any given moment during YOUR big day and wish you a Happy Birthday and smother you in kisses.  I'm sorry I won't get to make your lunch for you, and put a candle in it.  I'm sorry I won't be the one that does your princess hair in the morning. I'm sorry I won't get to put your princess panties on you and tell you that you are more beautiful than ANY Disney princess. I'm sorry I won't get to give you juice all day long, because that is how you survive.  I'm sorry I won't get to lay you down for your nap and read you however many books you want to read before you rest your beautiful head of silky blond hair on your princess pillow.  I'm sorry I won't get to come and get you when you wake up from your nap, and see your glowing face when I tell you, you get to go to the "Pirate Place" and have dinner with Spencer.  I'm sorry I won't be there when Captain Jack Sparrow comes and talks to you, and wishes you a Happy Birthday.  I'm sorry I won't get to help you blow out your Pirate Princess candles.  I'm sorry I won't get to pry you out of the beloved fantasy world of Pirate Paradise, bring you home, put on your pull-up, sing to you one more time, and kiss you off to your princess dreams of wishing on stars and marrying your prince in the temple.

I'm so happy that I get to be your mommy.  I'm so happy that you are such a sweet girl, with a spicy attitude that puts people in their place.  I'm so happy that you want to grow up and go to the temple like Mommy and Daddy.  I'm so happy that you are such an amazing sister, who begs for Chloe to wake up so you can play. I'm so happy that you and Chloe are best friends and you laugh together all day long.  I'm so happy you help me do my make-up.  I'm so happy that you love your Daddy so much(it makes me feel good to know I did such a good job picking out a daddy for my babies!)  I'm so happy that you love all of your cousins so deeply.  I'm so happy that 3 years ago you came into my life, making me a mommy, and making me want to be better.  I'm so happy that you fill my world with magic and laughter, and life, and living, and make-believe.  I'm so happy I have such a beautiful, happy, cheerful, hug giving, kiss receiving, stinky breath telling girl to come pull me out of bed in the morning.
