What Happens in Vegas,....

umm,... should be repented of.

I dis-like Vegas VERY much,.. and having it be 117 degrees solidified it.  Correct me if I'm wrong,.. but do people really go there and ENJOY it?  I mean really?  My eye balls need ripped from their sockets and sanitized in bleach, after a nice soak in hydrogen peroxide,  I SERIOUS.

But alas,.. there I was,.. chillin(actually sizzlin) like a mamma villin,  with the Spanish Foreign Exchange Students.  They were in HEAVEN(I assume Hell is deceitful just like Vegas).  After a long drive down trying to learn Spanish,.... well,.... the words that a 15 year old would think are funny to teach a poor innocent, mom.   But they thought I was pretty cool cause I let them listen to loud music, and it was Lady Gaga, which the LOVE.  They were pretty funny kids.  And I really miss them!
This dam sign is right before you enter Hoover Dam,.. the Dam weather, was dam hot, even the letters on this dam sign were melting off.

All in all,.. we had fun,.. but I do not care to ever go back to Hell.

I was too busy to blog, or so I thought,... and now I am WAY behind on blogging, and it's a sad story cuz I don't want to bombard ya'll with blogs about my crazy life, but would like to write about them. One order of Big Fat Blog week at the Robbins' household,.... on it's way.

Americana Activities

On July 3rd(Chloe's actual Birthday) We decided to head down to Provo and hang out at the Freedom Festival.  I love going to little Fair type things with the little shops.  I always find something to fall in love with, and also some cute ideas for things I want to make.  It was my first full day with Elena, and so off we went.  The highlight of the Festival was Bailey on this tampoline thingy.  She is a REALLY cautious kid, and so I didn't think she would like this very much.  She gets scared when I throw her over my shoulder like a sac-o-potatoes.

Maria Elena

This should have come before the last post,.. but I wasn't thinking.

Anyway,..This is our Foreign Exchange Student Elena.  Really,.. she is my new little sister,.. and my girl's sister.  My girls fell head-over-heals, in love with her.  And so did I.  She was so sweet and so kind, and wonderful to have in our home.

Some people have asked me about it all, so here are my answers.

A lady(my adopted mom in PG) that I know, was in charge of them coming here, and really spear headed the program and the activities this summer that they would be part of.  She asked me if we would be willing to take a student.  We thought about it, and decided it would be a fun way to get out and see things, and have fun,.... and it really was.  We did some things that we wouldn't have done other wise.  And with our really low key summer last summer, we wanted a good excuse to get out and have a blast.  Elena was a lot of fun, and spoke English amazingly well.  She was very polite, and played with my kids a lot.  We will do it again next summer if Elena comes, or if another student that came this year comes again.  Only because I have grown to know this group and really love them, (not that I wouldn't any different kids)  IF we do it again next summer it will be our last for a little while, as our child baring break will be over.  ANYWAY,.. what it boils down to, is we LOVED it.  But it is kinda difficult with little kids, and nap times.  My mom was a life saver and took my kids while I went and did.  She is amazing.

Props to my mamma.

We were crying.  I love her.

World Cup Victory!

I can't even begin to express the excitement buzzing around our house during the world cup.  With Spain in the running for the Cup, we planned a party with all the Spanish Exchange Students.  They were SOOO excited when they won,.. I was afraid they were going to demolish my house, and then trample my children and I.

Alas, we survived,..

And Spain WON!!! ,.. and then they all ran down the street waiving their flag in victorious Spanish chants.  They were super funny and cute.
