Speaking Bailey-eese

Some times I feel like people need a translator when it comes to communicating with Bailey,.. and just in case you are cool enough to hang with little miss sassy pants,.. you might want to bring this list with you.

-Closer Closer=Closet

-Constance=Jimmney Cricket or a Concience

-Dr. Laura=no idea, but she is often talked about and interjected in Bailey's wild imaginative stories

-DiSPITable=our new family favorite movie,.. Dispicable Me,.. my children are going to grow up to be evil villians. GASP,.. it's not a princess film!  Bailey does a pretty good re-inactment of "IT'S SO FLUFFY"-a pretty darn funny part of the movie.

-We don't eat_____=if you mention pretty much anything Bailey will respond with "we don't eat _____, do we?" ie. poo.  "We don't eat poo, do we mommy?"(this one is more of a warning, not a translation)

-Mommy Bandaids= Do I really need to translate that one?  All I will say is I get asked about once a month if I need to go to the Doctor, or do I just need a mommy bandaid?

-You're mean!= I just got punished for being naughty and YOU are the mean one! Usually every night AS SOON as Peter walks in the door,.. her report on our day is usually,.. "Daddy,.. mommy was being a MEAN mommy today"  :(

-I want snuggles- " I want to poke you in the eyes and pull your hair out one strand at a time and see how long you actually stay in my bed with me"

-my toes are all gone and are not there anymore=I am wearing socks

-maked=naked

-mommy shows= Oprah, Dr. Phil, Grey's, are to be shared with Bailey,..... (she thinks they are anyway!)

-Banka=Aunt Bekah

-I dis have a quession= I am stalling going to bed.

-If you ask her a question and she replies with a toot and a giggle,.. I'm so sorry,..she is so innappropriate and I did not teach her that!

-mud=Animal poop all over

-Ferry Christmas=Merry Christmas

-Fixer fixer=plunger

-lasterday=yesterday

-road bikel=tricycle

-danger danger=power box

those are some of the great ones,.. but alas, there are many more!  We sure love this girl and all her little quirks!

I don't know what Oprah was thinking when she didn't add these to her "Favorite Things" list,... I mean who likes diamonds and iPads and t.v.'s and cruises, and new cars anyway!?!?  

A steamer for clothing!  (no more ironing up in herrr)

And a memory foam mattress topper!

Oh,... maybe it's cause that lady hasn't washed or hung her clothing in AGES, and she sleeps on a cloud. 

Oh well,.. I have cute kids and a rockin' husband which trumps billions of dollars anyway.

December in a nut Shell

 Seeing as how blogging was last on my list of important things last month,.. here is an overview of the festivities,... well,.. the ones my camera went to anyway!

Peter's work party,... these are two of my very favorite guys!  The grinch, ie CEO, ie Dave, ie my brosuf, and Santa, ie Peter, ie CFO, ie my cute hubby. They are like Chameleons. 

Bailey had her little dance recitel and was just so cute.  She loves dance, but she mostly just loves to watch her friends dance,... and I laugh.

 Cozumel, Mexico,.. just one stop on our awesome cruise!  Empty white sand beach,.. can't get any better than that!

Especially with these guys!!  This is Peter's cousin Riley and his awesome wife Justine.  They aurprised us at the Port and went on our cruise with us!  We were so glad they came with us and we had SO MUCH FUN!

 Got home just in time to rush and get ready for Christmas!

Bateman Family(those that were near) and missed those that weren't.  We had a delicious dinner cooked by da mamma.  

We LOVE Christmas lights at Temple Square,.. they NEVER disappoint!

And this is New Years,...... We spent the weekend at SpringHaven, and this was the only picture I got of the whole time we were there.  This is my favorite part of the drive.  I LOVE tree tunnels and I love them at every season!  This one took my breath away though!

Not so surprising.

I could blog a million and one things,.. but I just haven't.  It seems as though I am lame.  And I am.  But at least we are having fun while I am lame!  I think I have just been holding out to blog about this:

I decided like a year ago that I was going to take Peter on vacation for his 30th Birthday,.. one way or another!! Well,.. I tried my darndest to surprise him, and that little stinker ruined it a few weeks ago.  I was SOOO CLOSE to making it and he snuck into my texts(we always read each other's texts,.. it's not a trust issue people,.. we are just curious) and found a ridiculously detailed text including words like "SURPRISE", "CRUISE" and "CARIBBEAN".  So I couldn't really get around it.  

Oh well.

We leave on Friday and I can't wait!

Happy Birthday Baby!!

Why!?

It seems like everyone I really love is havin babies!!  (Congrats Mandy and Travis!) So I have been looking at baby pictures,.. which usually lead to myself having a baby. (I'm not pregnant!) 

Why do my kids have to grow up so darn fast?  Don't they know that just means that I am going to have to pop another one out? (Once again,...No announcements)  I'm pretty sure I blinked and they are just pretty much adults now.  I told Bailey she needs to get a job already, and she said,.. "okay,.. I will watch a movie on the computer mom!"  funny girl.

Chloe has decided she is quite the entertainer.  As soon as the camera comes out,... so do her silly faces.

 She is gettin skinny from all the RUNNING she does all day,.. but good thing those cheeks are stickin around! 

Chloe is quite the silly girl.  She just aims to entertain.  She is just so sweet too. Chloe loves to split her time giving her sister loves and kisses,  but also working on her talent in hair pulling and hitting.  She is pretty sly, which makes for some interesting interactions between this duo.  Chloe just LOVES taking something away from Bailey, just to be chased.  She just giggles with delight the entire time.  And poor Bailey is the permenent damsel in distress.  She is really good at screaming and crying, and not so good at fighting back.  Not that I want an all our brawl,.. but it would be nice if sometimes Bailey could manage to stick up for her self,... and not just to her baby sister.  Good thing Bailey has a pretty sharp tongue and will tell you what's up,.. but to other kids, that's not usually effective.  

Speaking of Bailey,.... she is crazy.  Man I love her.  She has decided that it's really fun to try and sneak into our bed at night,... by any means necessary.  Usually a guilt trip on the, ever trusty push over,... Daddy.  We have been very excited to start using Santa as a bribe for good behavior,.. but it kind of back fired last week when Bailey saw snow, it meant it was christmas, and that santa was going to skip our house because we hadn't decorated yet.  So,.. note to self,.. don't use Santa as a bribe until you are ready for EVERYTHING Christmas!!!

Pretty Much the WORST day ever.

It started bright and early.  I woke up so that I had plenty of time to get ready and get the girls ready so we could make a good go at things,... My friend Brittany(who hosted a FABULOUS Halloween Party) called and asked if she could borrow some of my cake decorating tips.  Sure thing!  So I set out on the quest of a life time to find the those dumb little things.  She gave up on me after an hour.  An Hour of SEARCHING while dealing with miss attitude of America SCREAMING at me about nothing.(someday I will have a brain and be organized, or have a brain and remember something)  Anyway,.... I felt super bad.  So the girls and I were ready, got the girls all buckled in the car, had my list of errands to run, and determined to find the sweetest Halloween costume available.

Turn the key,........

nothin.

grrrrr. (there is NOTHING more frustrating to me than a car that won't start and being stranded)

So I decided that I would push the car out of the garage and run down and have a neighbor jumpstart Shaneequa.

It took a bit of effort to get good ole Shaneequa movin, I was workin up a sweat.  I knew once I got the back wheels out of the garage that we would be smooth sailin'.  Well,.........  Note to self:

-When parked on the left hand side of a double car garage door,... do not attempt to push car out of garage  with the drivers side door open.  This equals disaster.

The car is rollin and I suddenly realize,......... Ahh freak,.. the door is open, I still need to get IN the car and CLOSE the door.  Too bad that thought came as the door caught on the side of the garage.  LUCKILY I was able to reach the break before the door completely folded open.

So there I sit, in my car, with my foot on the break, BAWLING, and then trying to push the car back into the garage,.. which would mean that I needed to push the back end of a 2 ton Sequoia UP HILL into the garage.  I was FREAKING OUT, bawling, and I couldn't reach my phone.

An awesome neighbor of ours saw my distress of desperately trying to push Shaneequa back into the garage and came to my rescue.  I'm pretty sure he thinks I am the biggest idiot in all the world.

After over 2 hours of him trying to help me(including using his Cobra) to try and jump start Shaneequa, I sent him home, and called AAA.

Pull out the AAA card, and low and behold, the card is in Peter's name and they WILL NOT come help me until Peter is THERE.  (so stupid)  So Peter spends an hour on the phone to get me added to his card, and then another hour until they would arrive.  So I pull the kids out of the car, and let them play in the yard.  Well Chloe had something Bailey wanted and Bailey decided she was going to get it back from her.  So Bailey chases after her poor little sister,...... And what happens when you chase an 18 month old?  Well,.. they run as fast as they can, away from you, and where did Chloe run?  Down the hill.  And then what happened?  Her oversized head went faster than her feet, and she face planted in the street.

Then I screamed, really loud, then we went in and cried.  A lot.

(another note to self-Never EVER EVER go on Birth Control Pills, no matter what! They make you CRAZY)

Then AAA Saved us and gave me a new Battery.

Then I didn't have time to get a costume,.. just enough time to make it to Peter's Office to Trick or Treat, come home and leave for our wicked awesome Party that Peter(I mean 3-legged Jake) was the star of.
So I went as Facebook,... ie,... wrote the word Book on my face,.. it's a classic one.

Then I went to bed, hoping for a better day the next day, cause it was a HORRIBLE day.

Halloweenie

Halloween was preTTy fun up in herrr.  Sleeping Beauty was so elegant, and sweet, and happy,............. I mean,... she was sweet and happy and elegant when she was sleeping,.. cause when she is awake, she is more like,.. sassy, smartie pants, and demanding,...... but beautiful under all that! :D  

Then there was my little garden gnome.  She was,.... well,.... fat and cute.  MAN,.. there is just something awesome about a fat baby,... and even better when that fat baby is dressed up as a gnome, with a saggy diaper. 

Life is good people.  

Real good.(to be said in a Nacho Libre sort of way)

Peter and I had the opportunity to dress up a whopping 4 times,......... I took the opportunity once, and Peter went all out 4 times.  He is awesome like that.  Usually I am MORE than happy to dress up,.. as my High school friends can prolly attest.  But you see,.... Friday was quite possibly the WORST day of my life. (Which I am grateful, I can say that it was only this bad),... but that's it's own story, which you will laugh at.  I promise,.... even though i can't really laugh about it yet,.. :(
